Anything Goes

With a title like this from Simon Says how can anyone go wrong! The only question is what to do.After much deliberation I decided to enter this canvas which I made using Graphic 45 papers from their Communique range. I know it's not a new range but I do love it.

I know these are not the best pics. but I hope you get the idea!

" Black " for Sunday Stampers

Hi everyone.I always seem to get to the end of the week before I post anything.I do have an excuse this week though. After packing my girls off to Europe on Monday I decided that it was time to invade their rooms while they were away!!( I had to fight my way in ) But anyway here's my Black contribution

I have used Tim Holtz stamps and tissue tape on a black and silver background made by the credit card technique taught to me by the very talented Kelsey O'Mullane at Scraptivate.

"Embossing" for Simon Says

Another post I nearly didn't make.Been very busy this week as both of my daughters  are off to Europe on Monday to do a tour for four weeks..How quiet will it be!!Anyway here's my entry for SSSS .... Embossing.

I used some Ranger Antiquities embossing powder in Rust for the stamped image (Stamp-It Scientific Collage) and the Tim Holtz gears embossing folder for the background. This has to be one of my favourites!I then added a dictionary quote and a couple of the T.H cogs

Sunday Stampers....Flower Embellishment

Hi to everyone.I was away last week and nearly didn't get this weeks entry done in time, but here it is!!

This is a tag book that I've been working on with lots of Tim stuff as you can see. I'll share the rest when It's finished.
The small flowers are made using the Sizzix Bigz 3D flowers cut from Glassine paper and the other is from the Tim Holtz Tattered Florals die and Rosette die.

Flourishes

My entry for this weeks Simon Says is a scrapbook page that I had to do with a pic of me ( notice that I said HAD to do!..... absolutely HATE having my photo taken!! ), but it has some flourishes on it and I do like the page ( would be 10 times better with someone else's pic on it though!!! )

The background 12x12 page is one from BoBunny and of course the flourishes and heart are none other than Tim Holtz Alterations cut from grunge paper.

Very Big Tag....( writing)

Hi everybody,For this weeks Sunday Stampers challenge "Writing" I thought I could finally use the long stamp off the Tim Holtz Stuff To Say stamp set,so I made an extended tag. The only problem I had then was the lack of a long enough acrylic block to stamp it!! but guess what?... it fits nicely and sticks to the back of a steel ruler!! I thought I was very clever or has someone else thought of doing this?

I used gloss card with alcohol inks( Butterscotch & Sailboat Blue)for the background then Stazon to stamp the words.I then re stamped and cut some of the words out.The tag has been distressed with Wild Honey (love that), Walnut Ink  &Vintage Photo.I added some of Tim Holtz tissue tape & one of the new pen nibs.
I probably won't get to do next weeks challenge as I am off to a retreat in Dwellingup for FIVE days to do an altered book being taught by Nina Bagley.. can't wait!! I'll share on my return.

Words (for Simon Says)

Two entries with the same subject in the same week!...Sunday Stampers  & Simon Says both with "Words".
I did think about using the same thing for both but no...you can't possibly waste the opportunity to do two pieces rather than one!!So heres mine for Simon Says...

I made this card for my daughters birthday. The tag has been spritzed with two or three different shades of blue then the top right corner in a green. The center piece is mounted on an ATC sized card using a Tim  Holtz stamp and other embellishments.
The background is the new tissue paper from Collections Elements. Hope she likes it!!
